As a Reputation Risk Vice President on the Commercial Banking Reputation Risk Office Team, you will be part of a team that supports Commercial Banking (CB) Chief Risk Officer and the Firmwide Reputation Risk Executive in running a world-class organization that provides timely review of negative client/prospect matters (persons, transactions, industries) that must be assessed and cleared prior to transaction execution. Matters are wide-ranging across CB, ensuring broad exposure to all CB businesses, including frequent engagement with Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB), Business Banking and Asset Wealth Management (AWM) Reputation Risk Offices on cross-line of business (LOB) issues. CB Reputation Risk Officers have broad exposure to senior management, bankers and risk professionals as well as wide-ranging topics/issues that provide frequent, new learning opportunities. The CB Reputation Risk Committee decisions all transactions and matters that could pose reputation risk to the Firm.

Job Responsibilities

  • Execution of negative client/prospect information, often connected to live transactions
  • Manage time-sensitive matters that involve numerous details linked to multiple transactions and industry situations
  • Development of impactful, in-depth presentation decks for presentation to CB executive management
  • Represent CB Reputation Risk at CB LOB committees and forums, firm-wide Reputation Risk forums and New Business Initiative meetings and to provide thoughtful assessments and points of view on reputation risk matters.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 6+ years of experience in risk management or legal within financial services
  • Strong, clear and concise written and verbal communication with ability to edit and prepare executive level communications
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to collaborate and build strong partnerships given the extensive interaction with bankers, risk and control professionals both within Commercial Banking and across other LOBs, including firmwide functions
  • Strong data mining/management and analytical skills are essential
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills; able to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines
  • High comfort in leading discussions, driving for closure and ensuring strong second line review
  • Intellectual curiosity with a proven ability to learn quickly
  • High degree of initiative, self-direction, and ability to work well under pressure
  • Strong Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and SharePoint skills

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • Underwriting experience
