As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within Asset and Wealth Management Technology and International Private Bank, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Write clean, testable and efficient code compliant with the best software development and SDLC practices.
- Understand requirements, technical design and ask the right questions to be able to come up with good quality solution.
- Understand the bigger picture of the problem and facilitate strategic discussions.
- Identify problems and escalate in a timely manner along with proposed solutions.
- Suggest and prototype new designs and ideas to solve problems.
- Guide juniors in the team and have an open communication with stakeholders.
- Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and experiment with possibility of applying to our daily work to improve efficiencies.
- Thorough understanding of the System Development Life Cycle and Development methodologies including Agile.
- Experience of Agile development methodology, such as Scrum or XP
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering* concepts and 3+ years applied experience
- Hands-on application development and support experience in Core Java/Springboot
- Experience in SQL and Databases
- Experience in UI – React/Angular
- Proficient in Test Automation/CICD Pipeline
- Exposure to Cloud Technologies
