Join our Global Regulatory Change and Controls team as an Officer, where you'll execute daily regulatory obligations, manage exceptions, and identify opportunities for process improvement. You'll be part of a global team spread across Asia, EMEA, and North America, overseeing regulatory reporting controls across Corporate and Investment Banking Operations. Your role will involve regulatory reporting change, implementation of control frameworks, leading cross-business projects, and contributing to strategic transformational programs. This role offers extensive visibility across the Corporate and Investment Banking Corporate Administrative Office organization and the chance to problem-solve on a large scale, partnering with various departments including Legal, Compliance, Audit, Technology, and Corporate Operational Risk.
The team’s remit covers:
- Regulatory reporting change and advocacy
- Definition, delivery and implementation of Regulatory Reporting Control Framework
- Definition, delivery and implementation of Control Operating Models
- Execution of Daily Regulatory Reporting obligations & controls
- Leading cross line of business regulatory projects
- Leading the Corporate and Investment Bank's strategic transformational regulatory reporting program
- Deep dives of the Regulatory Reporting Control environment
As a Regulatory Reporting Change & Controls Officer within the Global Regulatory Change and Controls team, you will be tasked with the execution of daily regulatory obligations, managing exceptions in regulatory reporting controls, and identifying opportunities for enhancing and automating reporting processes. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring JPMorgan's complete adherence to regulations set by legislative bodies. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure across the Corporate and Investment Bank Corporate Administrative Office organization and to apply creative problem-solving skills on a wide scale.
Job Responsibilities
- Execute daily reporting controls to ensure completeness, accuracy, validity and timeliness of regulatory reporting.
- Log and track issues or control gaps identified.
- Work with Business and Technology to prioritize the requirements by presenting the business case.
- Escalate reporting issues to senior management, Compliance and appropriate Control Forums in a timely manner.
- Prepare and report Regulatory reporting control metrics to senior management, identify, mitigate, resolve risk and issues across team.
- Conduct thematic review of regulatory reporting issues or breaches, and propose the enhancement plans.
- Drive and deliver regulatory reporting process changes including automation initiatives.
- Perform end to end testing for Regulatory changes.
- Actively participate in global programs in the regulatory risk space so that Asia requirements are aligned with global initiatives including strategic architecture for regulatory reporting, regulatory reporting standards & risk assessment.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- 5+ years of experience in execution of Regulatory Reporting controls.
- Knowledge of operational processes and controls, with good understanding of risk, controls and quality assurance functions.
- Business Analysis skills to identify source of data, validating data, writing business requirements and testing reports.
- Effective communication skills, with an ability to negotiate and influence different levels of stakeholders in Corporate and Investment Banking LOBs and functional areas.
- Proven ability to collaborate with partners across multiple disciplines, functions and locations
- Manage stakeholder expectations effectively, facilitate decision-making by providing right level of information and timely escalation when required
- Strong analytical and problem solving skill with strong sense of ownership and responsibility
- Have a proactive, focused approach, looking at continuous ways to improve the control and operational environment.
Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities
- Understanding of Global Transaction Reporting (GTR) requirements for MAS / ASIC / HKMA / JFSA / Korea would be beneficial.
- Experience in Alteryx or Tableau for improving & automating regulatory reporting controls
- Prior experience in executing regulatory reporting controls like completeness, accuracy & timeliness.
- Understanding of OTC Derivative products (Credit, Rates, FX, Equities and Commodities)
