As a leader, you will be accountable for the effective and efficient processing of your team. You will manage and direct overall team activities, monitor progress, and recommend and implement process changes to improve services and systems. You will assign resources in support of day-to-day functions and review and interpret complex documents pertaining to client information and accounts, making decisions on how to execute.
In addition to your managerial responsibilities, you will serve as a point of contact for escalations, lead team projects and initiatives, and manage change within your team. You will also be responsible for running production reports, performing trend analysis, and preparing ad-hoc reports as needed. You will own the controls process, ensuring procedures are up-to-date and risks are managed, and you will create presentation decks to share ideas and recommendations. You may also present business updates to senior managers and stakeholders.
To excel in this role, you should have strong analytical thinking skills, be detail-oriented and accurate, and have the ability to prioritize and manage tasks independently. You should also have expert levels of verbal and written communication, a strong history of teamwork and leadership, and experience with design thinking and process improvement. Additionally, you should have issue resolution skills, a risk and controls mindset, and be data literate. You should be accountable for your decisions and actions, have extensive change management experience, and be able to influence business partners to deliver on priorities. Strong knowledge of the financial industry and investment products, as well as project management and presentation skills, are also important for this role.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in operations management in financial services
- Expertise with MS Office applications
- Business or Management Degree
- FINRA license is a plus (will be required to obtain Series 99 within 120 days of hire)
- As part of our Operations team, you will have the opportunity to develop and manage innovative, secure service solutions that meet clients' needs globally. In this role, you will be responsible for managing an operations section of 5-10 employees.
