As a Product Director in Account Opening, you lead innovation through the development of products and features that delight customers. As a leader on the team, you leverage your advanced capabilities to challenge traditional approaches, remove barriers to success, and foster a culture of continuous innovation that helps inspire cross-functional teams create groundbreaking solutions that address customer needs.
Job responsibilities
- Oversees the product roadmap, vision, development, execution, risk management, and business growth targets
- Leads the entire product life cycle through planning, execution, and future development by continuously adapting, developing new products and methodologies, managing risks, and achieving business targets like cost, features, reusability, and reliability to support growth
- Coaches and mentors the product team on new ideas, such as solution generation, market research, storyboarding, mind-mapping, prototyping methods, product adoption strategies, and product delivery, enabling them to effectively deliver on objectives
- Owns product performance and is accountable for investing in enhancements to achieve business objectives
- Monitors market trends, conducts competitive analysis, and identifies opportunities for product differentiation
- Leads complex 0 to 1 product initiatives across multiple areas and is constantly driving strategy alignment, prioritization decisions, and optimal sequencing
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 8+ years of experience or equivalent expertise delivering products, projects, or technology applications
- Extensive knowledge of the product development life cycle, technical design, and data analytics
- Demonstrate ability to influence the adoption of key product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management
- Experience driving change within organizations and managing stakeholders across multiple functions
- Extensive experience with all stages of the product development life cycle, including technical design, solution, and optimization post-launch
- Experience driving change within organizations and managing stakeholders across multiple functions
- Excellent ability to understand data and masterfully leverage analytic insights to continually improve the experience and reach/exceed OKRs (Objective & Key Results)
- Demonstrated ability to build a robust partnership with the Quad (Product, Experience, Tech / Architecture / Data & Analytics) to achieve excellent results
- Experience delivering complex technical products from 0 to 1 flawlessly and on time
- Demonstrated ability to execute in a demanding technology space, with multiple co-suppliers, juggling multiple complex dependencies and modernization efforts
- Expertise and comfort building out and owning a roadmap, backlog, and full end-to-end execution – overall comfort and adherence to Agility principles
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Recognized thought leader within a related field
- Deep understanding of the needs of retail branches, branch associates, and their leadership as key end users and stakeholders and experience rolling out mission-critical software to the field
- Experience working in financial services, acquisition, digital products, online and mobile platforms, etc.
- Consumer and Business Banking domain knowledge and related deposit account opening or similar onboarding experience preferred
- Passionate and vocal, balanced with a willingness to learn and collaborate and work across all levels and backgrounds
- Ability to prioritize a large book of work, meetings, team dynamics, and overall delivery
- Ability to influence stakeholders with diverse points of view and maintain grounded and productive discussions, including senior leadership level audience
