Starting your career in Investment Banking Division as an Analyst/Associate, you will be a key player in the execution of the firm's business.
As an Analyst/Associate banker in Korea Investment Banking Coverage team, you will work with expert professionals at the heart of a leading global investment bank. Senior bankers will get to know you - both as a person and as a valued member of a winning team, and you will experience training, hands-on learning opportunities, continuous mentoring and feedback, and numerous development opportunities. You will use your related experience to contribute to the firm's M&A execution and capital raising capabilities while helping build J.P. Morgan's franchise and reputation in the marketplace and will develop strong functional skills in the major areas of investment banking and become a senior client executive who is capable of generating and executing your own transactions. Job Responsibilities
- Provide valuation analysis, including discounted cash flows, relative valuations, asset valuations, comparable comps, and transaction multiple.
- Prepare pitchbook for client meetings, including M&A, ECM, and DCM pitches.
- Prepare financial models and perform financial analysis of companies.
- Monitor the industry for current events, valuations, and important financial information.
- Travel for client meetings, due diligence, and industry research.
- Support project coordination, including client communication, coordination of advisory team externally and within J.P. Morgan
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Strong accounting, finance, quantitative and business writing skills
- A well-rounded academic background from a top tier educational institution
- Understands transaction cycle and the steps in the process and is execution oriented
- Impeccable communication details with the ability to effectively interact with senior professionals, clients and key stakeholders in other line of business
- Ability to manage projects independently and be ready to assume a high level of responsibility as a member of the team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English & Korean
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Prior investment banking experience in M&A or industry group
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills (including Excel modelling and valuation)
- Strong understanding of accounting (including CPA)
