As an Associate in Commercial Banking, Corporate Client Banking, you will demonstrate your maturity and independency by playing an integral part to gain, manage and develop client relationships for Venture Capital funded innovation economy companies in China. The Innovation Economy Banking group is part of Commercial Banking at JP Morgan Chase and focuses on banking innovation companies backed by top tier Venture Capital in various sector including Technology, Media, Telecom, Life science, Artificial Intelligence, new consumption etc. You will manage internal and external aspects of client relationships, including conducting industry and company research, helping with credit analysis, and partnering with product and industry specialists within the Commercial and Investment Bank. You will support deal teams and country leadership, with accountability for pitchbook preparation, transaction execution and reporting requirements, while ensuring seamless coordination among deal team members, product partners and internal stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities:
- Lead or support Senior Bankers in business development efforts in China’s innovation economy ecosystem
- Work alongside Senior Bankers and Product Partners to execute transactions from initial pitch through to close for both existing and prospective clients
- Prepare marketing materials for use in client meetings covering topics such as financing, working capital optimization, industry and peer analysis
- Work with senior bankers to help generate new revenue opportunities from prospects and existing clients
- Collaborate with credit underwriting teams on analysis and documentation of credit requests
- Assist with reporting requirements and data management
- Develop an understanding of the full breadth of J.P. Morgan products and service offerings, including but not limited to M&A, debt capital markets, equity capital markets, foreign Exchange, interest rate management, and treasury services etc.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:
- Bachelor Degree in Finance, Economic, or other related fields
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial banking client relationship coverage roles
- The ability to be a highly motivated, productive team player. Partnership skills are essential as work will often overlap with industry partners, product partners and investment banking teams
- Excellent problem solving, oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, collaborative work environment
- Highly motivated team player with solid communication and project management skills
- Outstanding ethics, integrity and judgment
- Superior Excel and Power Point skills
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:
- Knowledge and existing networks in the local innovation economy and venture capital sectors is preferred
- Participation in a Commercial or Investment Banking Analyst Training Program is preferred
