Private Banking is involved with every facet of wealth management, including investments, wealth structuring, philanthropy, liquidity and credit management, as well as tax and estate planning. Our business model focuses on deep client relationships, an integrated team structure and a platform of depth and breadth.

Job Summary

As a Banker in the Taiwan Team, you will be a key member of our wealth management front office team. You will work closely and directly with clients to meet their investment goals and objectives. This role is a hybrid between the current banker and the investment specialist role in the Private Bank in Asia.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support and manage all aspects of client relationships across the team; develop and maintain long-term relationships through professional/personal networks and contacts
  • Operate in both banker and investor capacity, and handle/coordinate with various teams on both overall account inquiries/maintenance as well as on investment-related aspects
  • Articulate and deliver strategic messages to their portfolio, prepare presentations and proposals, and take both solicited and unsolicited orders in all asset classes. Update clients regularly on markets, portfolio performance, investments opportunities, risks
  • Partner with the client including (but not limited to) updating KYC information, client suitability profile, hosting client meetings, monitoring funds/asset transfer and handling client ad-hoc queries.
  • Collaborate with the other integrated team members to provide a high quality of client service
  • Keeping track of Clients, AUMs and Revenues using our internal systems; periodic calculation of account performance
  • Work together with other teams in meeting all compliance, regulatory, risk management, operational, and due diligence requirements and compliance with internal policies

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Proven client management skills and effective communication skills (oral and written) who can positively engage and influence clients as well as internal stakeholders.
  • 5 years’ + experience in the Financial Services and/or Banking industry.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Operate with a high level of integrity and risk awareness.
  • Must be a team player and able to work with different business functions across the bank.
  • As the role is an important contributor to the strategy of JPM, comfort and experience working with and reporting to senior management is required.
  • Appropriate local regulatory qualification and license

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Client Service background is a plus.
  • Ideally understand and have a working knowledge of the private banking key regulatory and control environments that are relevant to the team and be able to manage the accounts accordingly
  • Fluency in English mandatory, Cantonese and/or Mandarin strongly preferred
