As an Associate/VP of Sales in the Cross Asset Sales team in Tokyo, you will be responsible for client coverage focusing on regional banks and day-to-day execution of cross asset products, ranging from Rates Flow, Credit Flow, Credit Non-Flow, Fund Strategy and more. You will need the abilities to navigate these products effectively along with generating ideas and providing market insight.

Job Responsibilities

  • Build relationship while transacting in these markets across a wide range of products
  • Market bonds, derivatives, structured/securitized products as well as rates products and funds
  • Identify market drivers and product lingo while showing a high degree of interest in learning about other products while developing a cross-product skill set
  • Work cooperatively with the relevant business partners such as Trading, Syndicate, Structuring, Origination and more

Required Qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Minimum of 4 years working experience in a Markets role and a solid understanding of the market
  • Clear, logical thinker with strong qualitative skill set including effective communication and presentation
  • Strong team player that is detail oriented with a highly disciplined approach to process and quality control
  • Effective communication skills to interact with internal partners and clients
  • Fluent in Japanese and business level English
  • Strong proficiency in Bloomberg, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience with regional bank sales would be viewed favorably
  • A high degree of organization and attention to detail, and the ability to perform well under high pressure situations with the appropriate degree of urgency
  • Ability to learn quickly, multi-task and self-manage priorities
  • Developed and established relationships with Japanese institutional clients
