This is a great opportunity to join a Technology Support team, to deliver a best in class Technology Support & Environment Management capability for Account Services Core DDA applications within Global Liquidity & Cash Management (GLCM). As a Technology Support team member, you will ensure the operational stability, availability, and performance of our application flows. Encourage a culture of continuous improvement as you troubleshoot, maintain, identify, escalate, and resolve service interruptions, leading to a seamless user experience. You will be required to apply your depth of knowledge and expertise to all aspects of Environment Management as well as supporting UAT and Non-Functional Testing, involving partnering continuously with many stakeholders across Technology and the Business.

The GLCM Account Services team sits within the Payments Technology, which is part of the Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB). This is a Strategic multi-year investment working on multiple use cases at the cutting edge. Hence we are looking for passionate Technology Support specialists in order to build new capabilities and extend our existing capabilities. In return, the candidate will be able to gain experience of full-stack Environment Management & Test Support using a modern technology stack, and in the process gain experience of working within one of the most mature Agile teams within Banking Technology.
Job responsibilities
- Provides end-to-end application or infrastructure service delivery to enable successful business operations of the firm
- Supports the day-to-day maintenance of the firm’s systems to ensure operational stability and availability
- Assist in the monitoring of production, test and dev environments for anomalies and address issues utilizing standard observability tools
- Identity issues for escalation and communication, and provide solutions to the business and technology stakeholders
- Analyze complex situations and trends to anticipate and solve incident, problem, and change management in support of full stack technology systems, applications, or infrastructure
- Learn new technologies best practices and apply techniques to maximize performance and availability
- Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
- Analyze designs and changes to a global scale Critical Application Framework application and it's infrastructure to ensure they meet system requirements
- Prepare test strategies, test execution plans, building automated test packs, recording & analyzing results and producing test reports
- Provide excellent communication, with the ability to tailor communications for different audiences, ranging from senior business to junior technology staff
- Work collaboratively within a globally diverse team
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience or equivalent expertise troubleshooting, resolving, and maintaining information technology services
- Experience in observability and monitoring tools and techniques such as; Autosys, Geneos, AppDynamics, Capalytics, SPLUNK, Grafana etc.
- Strong infrastructure and application performance and resiliency expertise
- Hands-on practical experience in automated testing, deployment into production, operational stability and SDLC toolsets
- Familiarity of code deployment, packaging, UAT support and non-functional testing principles
- Experience of Spring JDBC and SQL is required, together with a working knowledge of relational & NoSQL database systems.
- Experience of Continuous Integration technologies, Jenkins, Maven, Cucumber, Mocks, JMeter, JUnit, etc. is expected.
- Proficiency in working with the Linux OS and UNIX scripts.
- Hands-on approach to technology with evidence of self-learning and deep understanding of a process, system or technology
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages and/or automation scripting such as; SQL programming, Java, API development
- Knowledge of the Temenos T24 Banking Application is advantageous, focusing on; Interest, Tax, Swift Payments, Accounting, Reporting, Sweeps and Close of Business processing.
- Experience of end to end application design and development with interest in underlying physical infrastructure.
- Experience of execution and monitoring close of business across multiple platforms.
- Working understanding of on-prem or public cloud
