As a Security Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Cybersecurity & Technology Controls group, you serve as a seasoned member of a team that works to deliver software solutions that satisfy pre-defined functional and user requirements with the added dimension of preventing misuse, circumvention, and malicious behavior. Carry out critical technology solutions with tamper-proof, audit defensible methods across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives
Job responsibilities
- Executes security solutions design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to apply knowledge of existing security solutions to satisfy security requirements for internal clients (e.g., product, platform, application owners)
- Engage and improve the whole lifecycle of services - from inception and design through deployment, operation and refinement
- Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
- Perform design and code reviews
- Develop and build solutions relating to Cloud Environment Governance and Protection, Auditing, Monitoring, Remediation and Reporting
- Design, develop and improve services to scale as the firm's cloud usage grows.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and proficient advanced experience
- Proficiency and hands-on experience in AWS services, including EKS, Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, etc
- Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
- Practical exposure with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions such as Terraform and CloudFormation
- Experience in developing enterprise software and proficiency in multiple technologies, preferably Python
- Experience with development methodologies, e.g. Agile
- Work independently and collaborate within a team to develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals
- Savvy Cybersecurity knowledge
- Experience with Azure, GCP or other Public Cloud environments is a plus.
- Cloud Certifications including AWS Developer Associate, AWS Solutions Architect Associate
