As a Strategic Reporting Analyst within JPMorgan Chase Fraud Risk Analytics & Intelligent Reporting team, you will be at the forefront of maintaining our company's strength and resilience. You will play a crucial role in growing our business responsibly by anticipating new and emerging risks, and using your expert judgement to solve challenges that impact our company, customers, and communities. Your role will involve gathering data from various data sources, organize and analyze it while looking for trends, inconsistencies and ways to improve our line of business.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Analyst in Fraud Risk Analytics & Intelligent Reporting team to developing analytical insights around the strategies our risk partners deploy to identify and mitigate fraud. As part of the team, you are responsible for the development, automation and deployment of intelligent solutions that meet the reporting and analytical needs within the line of business, as well as enforcing compliance and control requirements to ensure timely and reliable information is provided to the right audience. This individual contributor role requires a strong analytical background and hands-on experience in SAS and/or SQL programming (ORACLE, Teradata). The successful candidate will be responsible for generating analytics that support a risk point-of-view, making data-driven recommendations to mitigate risks, and solving business issues that have a direct impact on the bottom line of the business. The role involves collaboration with cross functional business partners and key stakeholders.

Job responsibilities
  • Interpret large amounts of complex data to formulate problem statement, concise conclusions regarding underlying risk dynamics, trends, and opportunities
  • Identify key risk indicators and metrics, develop key metrics, enhance reporting, and identify new areas of analytic focus to better capture fraud.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to understand and address key business challenges
  • Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills – an ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences across business and technology partners, including senior leadership
  • Ability to work independently and own problems start to end
  • Work with Product Risk managers and other stakeholders to support new strategy and product development and monitoring
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Experience - must meet one of the following requirements:
    • Master’s Degree in a quantitative discipline with min 3 years of work experience in analytics
    • Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative disciple (e.g. Data Analysis, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Management Information Systems) with min 5 years of work experience in analytics / analytical reporting
  • Working knowledge and development experience with SQL, SAS and related tools such as Alteryx and Tableau
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to extract business insights from complex data structures
  • Proven ability to work with large-scale/complex issues and collaborate across organizations
  • Experience in Banking / Digital Banking preferred
  • Excellent analytical storytelling skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and flexibly adapt to change
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Alteryx, Tableau, SAS certification preferred (basic/advanced)
  • Experience coding in a flexible analytics language preferred (e.g. Python, R)
