Job Description

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Analyze, design, develop, and test software systems that simulate business processes and can be used to optimize and increase their efficiency using various programming technologies. Formulate plans outlining the steps required to develop programs and design the work flow methodology. Review and perform installation, upgrade, and configuration changes of hardware and software components of applications. Provide post-production support and resolve any high-severity production incidents within the agreed-upon timeline without impacting business. Perform detailed analysis during war room calls and provide technical facts and steps to be taken to ensure application stability. Perform application support and maintenance, which includes investigating and providing technical solutions for production incidents. Provide real-time application support in the production environment and handle the scenarios to keep the application up and running to minimize the adverse business impact. Drive through change and problem management activities, which include identifying the root cause of production incidents. Implement and test the functions of high availability, disaster recovery, sustained resilience, and chaos engineering. Drive day-to-day issues, including daily health checks of applications and processes, working closely with end users, development staff, and infrastructure teams to prioritize, resolve, and mitigate outages. Monitor production activities and processes to ensure timely and effective reporting, tracking, follow-up, and communication of problems to internal and external clients, technical resources, and executives. Ensure information controls, backups, and recovery strategies are in place across all environments and are ready to be implemented during any unexpected events. Enable automated logging, monitoring, alerting, and self-healing on all the application functionalities to ensure trouble-free end-to-end flow.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (any), Computer Science, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Applications Support, Software Engineer, Architect, Technical Lead, or related occupation.
