Asset and Wealth Management Deposits Middle Office is looking for a Support and Governance Associate to play an integral role on our team.
As a Support and Governance Associate within the Asset and Wealth Management Deposits Middle Office, you will play a crucial role in monitoring, testing, and overseeing risk and control activities. You will also participate in various projects, contribute to MIS reporting, and collaborate closely with technology, operations, business, and senior stakeholders to deliver impactful process improvement initiatives.
Job responsibilities
- Partner with Control Managers, evaluate and perform an end-to-end analysis of the department’s risk and control environment to proactively identify gaps and weaknesses and develop controls prior to launch of Change Management processes and/or Functional transfers.
- Ensure that controls are properly designed, operating effectively, and essential to a proactive risk and control culture.
- Perform monthly regulatory testing
- Assist on special projects and process improvements which help drive the team’s agenda
- Participate in documentation gathering and review for internal/external audits, CCOR testing, etc.
- Support ongoing, periodic recertification to meet audit/regulatory requirements
- Assist with Business Resiliency activities
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Has 3 years experience in Financial Services industry with background in controls, audit, quality assurance, operational risk management, or compliance preferred.
- Control mindset and ability to identify control gaps and enhance processes.
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Detail oriented with effective prioritization and organizational skills
- Intermediate level skills working with the MS Office suite of tools, with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to effectively multi-task and deliver quality results within a fast-paced environment
- Ability to interact with multiple stakeholders at various levels
- Strong research, analytical and comprehension skills, with the ability to analyze data.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Knowledge and understanding of Operations and Bank products
- Experience in Private Banking and navigation within Private Bank Applications and Systems
