Real Estate Banking (REB): Delivers commercial real estate and banking products to national and regional real estate developers, investors, Real Estate Operating Companies (REOCs), Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) and opportunity and investment funds working alongside REB Bankers, Underwriters and Treasury Services Payments partners.

What you can expect

Our 2025 REB Analyst program will provide you with a valuable experience in Commercial Real Estate as well as knowledge of Commercial Banking as a whole. The program is 2.5 years in duration and includes targeted Commercial Real Estate training paired with exposure to both Sales/Originations, Credit/Risk, Treasury Services, and Portfolio Management.

The program, which starts June 2025, provides REB Analysts with the ability to develop a strong foundation of analytical skills across a range of asset classes needed for a successful career in Commercial Real Estate. You’ll work with real estate professionals on a team, drawing from the full spectrum of the firm's resources to develop customized financial solutions to meet client needs.

You’ll begin the program with an intensive training program where you will learn about our products and services, clients and business practices. Under the leadership of our lending and training professionals, you will gain in-depth knowledge of accounting, Commercial Banking, Commercial Real Estate, underwriting, financial statement analysis, pro-forma modeling, risk grading, cash flow analysis, and credit structuring. The program uses a full range of teaching methods such as lectures, team exercises, exams and case studies.

Upon the completion of your initial training, you will spend the duration of your program in our New York City office where you will work with our Real Estate Banking Team to provide support to our clients and gain exposure to both Sales/Originations, Credit/Risk, Treasury Services, and Portfolio Management.

Upon successful completion of the 2.5 year REB Analyst Program, you may be promoted to Associate.

Key responsibilities of a Full Time Analyst include:

  • Financial modeling & risk grading to support transactions
  • Collateral & market analysis
  • Preparation of marketing materials for use in client meetings (covering topics such as financing alternatives and industry / market trends & analysis)
  • Sponsorship & guarantor analysis
  • Assisting in the completion of credit approval memos and annual reviews
  • Summarize key deal metrics and facts for new loan letters of intent
  • Support sales teams with ad-hoc requests, property inspections and market research
  • Portfolio monitoring and management
  • Learn about treasury services tailored to commercial real estate and end to end sales process using a variety of internal sales tools
  • Developing an understanding of the full breadth of J.P. Morgan products and service offerings

About You

We are looking for candidates who have a keen interest in real estate banking and a desire to work with team members in our New York City office to build client relationships and provide exceptional client service.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative work environment
  • Coursework or previous internship in real estate, finance, accounting or economics a plus
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Graduating between June 2024 – June 2025
  • Enrolled in good standing at an accredited university in the U.S.
