Job Description
J.P. Morgan Export & Agency Finance (“EAF”) is a group of professionals within Trade & Working Capital focused on designing and delivering structured trade solutions aimed at meeting our clients’ unique needs across a highly collaborative global platform. We partner with export credit agencies (“ECAs”), multilaterals agencies (“MLAs”) and development finance institutions (“DFIs”) (together, “Agency or Agencies”) to support our clients with financing structures that feature credit enhancements or direct lending from such institutions. ECAs are established by governments to promote national exports. DFIs and MLAs are public financing institutions with economic development missions.
The EAF team interacts with client relationship management teams and product partners to provide Agency supported financing solutions for J.P. Morgan clients. The team operates across a range of industry segments working closely together to manage relationships with the Agencies, other bank partners and active borrowers of ECA financing.
EAF Europe Middle East & Africa (EMEA) Executive Director (ED) will report to the Regional Lead and has geographic responsibility for the origination and execution of Agency supported financing with regionally based clients and with EMEA-based Agencies. The team is responsible for the origination, execution and management of the portfolio
Job responsibilities
- Responsible for end-to-end deal life cycle: from origination to execution and subsequent transition to portfolio management
- Exhibit leadership attributes among transaction professionals
- Align with J.P. Morgan internal operating procedures and policies, contribute to content development for internal & external thought leadership
- Build & leverage internal network, principally with colleagues/stakeholders in Trade & Working Capital, Payments and Global Banking, as well as with Markets product partners.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Deep experience in cross-border debt & structured finance
- Establish track record of originating, structuring and executing financings
- Strong business communication and analytical skills
- Detailed understanding of institutional risk management policies and tools
- Close familiarity with alternative financing structures
- Ability to guide environmental, social and governance considerations related to transactions
- Sit exams / qualify: Regs and Securitie
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Relevant experience in the Export & Agency Finance market with strong interpersonal, analytical and negotiation skills, alongside exceptional client management skills and experience.
- Demonstrate the relevant level of experience at this level.
- Effective project management capability.
- Regional language skills an advantage, but not essential.
