Job Description

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Participate in the software development lifecycle including analysis, design, implementation, validation, deployment, and testing. Convert business requirements into technical specifications and software requirements. Design architecture and components of applications and systems utilizing technical approaches such as object-oriented analysis and design. Lead technical design as part of a team of analysts and developers responsible for the program’s software solutions. Develop applications using Java, Spring, microservices, Cloud, and data streaming solutions platform and databases. Modify existing software to enable deployment on new Cloud infrastructure. Utilize test-driven development techniques. Review team's work for technical accuracy and system reliability. Deploy software using build and deployment pipelines.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as a Lead Software Engineer, Software Engineer/Developer, Application Developer, Technical Associate, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as Lead Software Engineer, Software Engineer/Developer, Application Developer, Technical Associate, or related occupation.

Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: SDLC using Agile Methodology; Requirement gathering and analysis; Application architecture disciplines; Java 8 and above using streams and lambda; Java design patterns; Design principles and best practices; Coding best practices; Code review best practices; Microservices; Java Spring framework; Building REST APIs with distributed tracing and logging features; Oracle SQL Scripts; Build and Deployment tools including Git and Maven; Continuous Integration and Deployment using Jenkins; Server-side Debugging; Application Debugging; Unit test frameworks including Junit and Mockito; Splunk observability platform; Application Performance fine-tuning; Mentoring engineers.

Job Location: 575 Washington Boulevard, Jersey City, NJ 07310. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.

Full-Time. Salary: $183,100.00 - $215,000.00 per year.
