Job Summary:
As an Associate in Securities Services Sales, you will support the Latin America team, which covers new Securities Services and Prime Financial Services business and organic growth for existing business in the region. The team liaises with Institutional Clients such as Central Banks, Public and Private Pensions, Banks and Broker Dealers, Corporations, Hedge Funds, Private Equities, and Family Offices across Latin America. You will assist in pitching new business opportunities, cross-selling with other lines of business within J.P. Morgan, and maintaining existing relationships.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist Sales representatives in developing strategies to increase Securities Services and PFC revenue opportunities in all countries covered by the team by conducting research, collecting data, and structuring business cases.
- Organize and maintain the internal database of information related to clients and prospects.
- Work with Latin American Institutional investors in need of Private Equity Fund services, Hedge Fund Services, Global Custody, Securities Lending, Prime Brokerage, Collateral Management, and Liquidity Solutions.
- Perform market research related to market players and competitors regarding a wide set of products, including Hedge Fund Services, Prime Brokerage, Private Equity Fund Services, and Custody Solutions.
- Create marketing materials, updates, requests for proposals (RFPs), or presentations for clients or internal use as needed, ensuring all materials meet brand and marketing standards.
- Work effectively with internal partners across product, service, and operations to deliver best-in-class service to our existing clients.
- Develop and maintain industry and market expertise to maximize the client's business strategy while partnering with banking, markets, and asset management coverage to identify opportunities.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- At least four years’ experience in sales and trading, investment management or similar client management roles.
- Must be fluent in written and spoken Spanish; Portuguese is a plus.
- Strong client-facing skills, able to interact at different levels of a client organization.
- Strategic, creative, and problem-solving skills, as well as solid written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with financial markets and investment products, including traditional asset classes and alternative products.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, as well as proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent time management, organizational, team-building, and planning skills.
- A degree in a relevant field (e.g., Finance, Business Management, Computer Science).
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- FINRA 7 and 63 securities licenses are required. If not already licensed, the candidate will need to obtain the licenses before or soon after starting.
