The candidate will have to perform data analysis in a 24 X 5 environment, supporting Global Core Cash Operations encompassing Asia, EMEA and WHEM regions. The person will in the management of the business deliverables and the team. The candidate will have a direct reporting line into Sr Associate and will be directly responsible for Data Analyst to turn data into information, information into insight. Candidate will conduct activities to include requirements analysis and design, develop analysis. The role involves close coordination and working with other client operations sites to ensure business targets are delivered.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of analyst and data scientist in executing analytics projects including data collection analysis and reporting
- Develop and maintain best practices and standards for data management analysis and visualization
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
- Oversee the development and implementation of data models algorithms and statistical techniques to support business decision making.
- Manage project timelines, resources allocation and performance management to ensure timely delivery of analytics insights.
- Provide coaching and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and capabilities in analytics
- Provide guidance and support to team members in executing projects and developing new skills in data analysis
- Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
- Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
- Monitors all relevant Management Information System data ensuring all issues have been resolved expediently.
- Ensure that all work items are completed as per the agreed SLA.
- Foster and champion High Performance Culture where people are empowered to make decisions that affect their work/environment.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:
- Graduate with Minimum 6 to 8 years — Financial Operations Processing experience with a higher vintage and good team management experience in similar environment.
- Preferred working experience as a data analyst
- Working Knowledge of SWIFT & international payment conventions & practices would be plus
- Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
- Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages
- Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing large datasets (Excel, etc.)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong Interpersonal skills to be able to communicate internally & externally and at all levels.
- Excellent written & oral communication skills in English.
- Strong personal computer and analytical skills.
- Ability to use creative problem solving techniques to solve business issues.
- An acute client focus.
- Good analytical skills and knowledge of MS Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Demonstrate leadership and people management skills.
- A proactive approach to problem solving, taking ownership of issues and having the determination to follow through. Escalate issues as appropriate.
