As a Transaction Risk Management Senior Associate in our Middle Market Banking Group, you will play a key role in managing client payments and reviewing treasury service facilities. You will assess and determine appropriate risks for treasury product clients, establish and review credit facilities, and provide risk mitigation recommendations. You will also respond to risk alerts and assess risk profiles, ensuring a thorough understanding of various treasury service products and operating platforms. Your role is crucial in maintaining the resilience and strength of our operations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Researches overnight overdrafts and works with client coverage team to resolve.
  • Returns, approves or acknowledges transactions (within authority) that contribute to overnight overdrafts.
  • Follow ups with Banker, Treasury Service Officer, Client Service Officer when clients have excessive overdrafts.
  • Reviews and approves intraday overdrafts within authority related to wire or book transfer activity, Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions and international collections when necessary.
  • Ensures that new or transferred clients fit within the business model
  • Establishes and reviews or updates treasury service facilities.
  • Responds to risk alerts and assesses risk profile utilizing transaction and usage information.
  • Provides treasury service risk mitigation recommendations for complex client situations.
  • Coordinates special handling of payments from accounts in bankruptcy or liquidation.
  • Possesses a strong knowledge of various treasury service products, operating platforms, and how to navigate the firm to pursue resolutions.
  • Builds strong relationships and maintains open communication channels with client coverage team and product partners to act as subject matter expert.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • BA/BS/BBA degree is required
  • At least 3 years’ experience in commercial banking/lending including experience
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written skills, interpersonal skills, and analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills; able to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines
  • Proven ability to collaborate and build strong partnerships.
  • Intellectual curiosity with a proven ability to learn quickly
  • High degree of initiative, self-direction, and ability to work well under pressure
