Job Description

As a Research Analyst in Middle Market Banking and Specialized Industries, you will provide macro and market insights to internal and external stakeholders of Commercial Banking. This role offers the opportunity to analyze macroeconomic data and capital markets trends, and to communicate these insights through written summaries, presentations, and research notes. You will be part of a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and strong organizational skills are key.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Analyze macroeconomic data and capital markets trends
  • Write short summaries of economics and market developments
  • Create presentations that summarize research views
  • Compose research notes and industry reports

Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:

  • 6+ years of financial industry experience
  • Previous experience in economics, capital markets, strategy, investment banking, and/or equity/credit research
  • Firm grasp of key macroeconomic concepts: interest rates, GDP, unemployment, inflation, supply chains
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Team player able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills including charts and formatting
  • Proficient in Word

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:

  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, demanding and intellectually stimulating role
  • Healthcare, tech, manufacturing and/or consumer industry knowledge a plus
  • Comfortable in client-facing situations; presentation/public speaking experience a plus

Commercial Banking is focused on helping our clients succeed and making a positive difference in our communities. We provide credit and financing, treasury and payment services, international banking and real estate services to clients including corporations, municipalities, institutions, real estate investors and owners, and nonprofit organizations.

The Strategy team manages mission-critical projects ranging from developing growth strategies, to assessing and planning entry into new markets, to implementing organizational restructurings and operational efficiencies, and more. Projects are typically team-based and include close collaboration with senior executives.
