As a Vice President - Fusion Product Manager within Fusion’s Metadata Governance Team, you will be responsible for leading the product strategy around Fusion metadata management. Your role will involve idea generation, leading strategic initiatives and working across multiple lines of business to deliver best in class solutions for metadata management including data dictionary management, business glossary management, data modelling and all associated tooling. Furthermore, you will be responsible for spearheading product development, delivering value to clients and ultimately representing Fusion’s solutions.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of metadata management throughout the development process, including but not limited to defining product requirements, overseeing implementation, ensuring product adoption, continuous product expansion and demonstrating advocacy
- Serve as a key leader in requirements gathering, vendor engagement and roadmap execution for Fusion’s metadata management capabilities
- Document and maintain clear product requirements that will act as a guide for business and technical teams to build, launch and market products and capabilities
- Collaborate cross-functionally with multiple lines of business (Sales, Client Solutions, Engineering, Product, Data Science)
- Serve as a trusted advisor for Sales and Client Solution teams to lean on and establish long-term partnerships
- Identify expansion opportunities through market research and customer interactions to develop strategies that align with business objectives
- Monitor industry trends and competitor landscape
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- 8+ years of business and technology strategy experience in the investment data space, including excellent knowledge across dynamic, reference and analytical domains. Previous industry experience in the investment management industry, either at a service provider or a investment firm level, is required.
- Demonstrate strong relationship and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to interact with senior business and technology executives
- Familiarity with technical data concepts, data models, metamodels, data governance and a strong passion for product development
- Organize, prioritize and escalate critical issues and required information to facilitate efficient decision making; establish priorities, and provide oversight and guidance to team of those priorities
- Ability to distill widely variant feedback into root cause issues and provide actionable feedback to other stakeholders
- Excellent business presentation, writing and verbal communication skills
- Proven expertise in leading strategic metadata management product initiatives
- Strong facilitation, process and influencing skills
- Functional knowledge of common programming languages (such as Python or R) and database languages (such as SQL)
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in Finance, Math, Engineering or related field
- Experience applying data analysis to solve business problems in fast-moving environment.
- Previous working experience in big data environments and\or data warehousing programs will also be viewed favorably.
