Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Vice President to join our industry-leading team.

As a Vice President in Investment Grade Finance, you will be responsible for originating fixed income securities as part of the capital raising activities undertaken by our clients (both corporate and financial institutions). You will be joining at team recognized as the leader in investment grade bond issuance and loan origination, leading offerings for clients across industries and geographies. You will function as a fully integrated team member, in a flat structure that allows for direct client coverage responsibility and for working directly with MDs in the group and across the firm. You will be an integral part of Investment Grade Finance where team members rely on you for both new business generation and leadership in driving the process in deal executions and pitching.

Job Responsibilities

  • Monitor global interest rate and credit market dynamics and how they affect our clients’ liability portfolios and issuance decisions
  • Advise clients on marketing, timing and pricing of debt issuance and loan origination, as well as repurchasing or restructuring debt
  • Own project management throughout the lifecycle of your clients’ transactions, both internally and externally
  • Coordinate with syndicate, sales and trading to price and sell the bonds
  • Know all priority clients and key financing decision makers (CFOs, Treasurers, Asst. Treasurers, and Capital Markets Directors)
  • Maintain direct dialogue with clients, client coverage officers, debt and equity partners

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of investment banking/capital markets or related experience
  • Strong communication skills both oral and written
  • Ability to comfortably interact with clients, coverage bankers and other product partners
  • Strong analytical skills both qualitative (credit analysis) and quantitative (bond math, pricing)
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high pressure environment
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task and prioritize deliverables
  • Interest in and aptitude to develop a fluency in credit dynamics across a broad range of clients (including key financial metrics, rating agency frameworks, regulatory regimes, etc.)

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Financial Institutions and Insurance sector experience is a plus but isn’t required
