Job Description

The Amenity Services department supplies the food and beverage operations for all areas of the Client and Conference Centres. This can be from tea and coffee for a meeting for two clients through to a 500-delegate event serving Michelin level dishes and everything in between!


As a Chef de Partie Canary Wharf (Monday - Friday) in Amenity Services you will work alongside experienced Executive Chefs and a diverse, talented, and innovative food and beverage brigade. We work with high quality industry experts and want you to bring your whole self to work.

We offer competitive salary based on a 35-hour Monday to Friday work week providing one of the best packages in hospitality.


Job responsibilities
• Work in the client centre kitchen carrying out preparation and making of all food offers
• Ensure that the preparation, presentation and execution of the food are carried to the required standard
• Ensure adequate stocks of food are maintained, controlled, secured and that stock takes are carried out regularly
• Ensure that temperature records are completed daily for each function and recharged accordingly
• Carry out any reasonable management request
• Promote JPMC in both general conduct and standards of dress
• Manage a section on your own or with chef reporting to you
• Assist in training of Junior staff

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
• Experience of a fast paced, high standards driven working kitchen environment
• Strong team player with an ability to pull together multiple partners in a productive, team environment
• Ability to motivate others
• An energy and enthusiasm for learning and developing
• Ability to demonstrate flexibility and operate in a changeable environment
• Culinary qualifications (NVQs)
• A desire to be a part of JPMC’s sustainability goals and minimise the environmental impact of the department


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
• Basic MS Office skills
