Job Summary:

As a Senior Associate this role is part of the Distribution and Geospatial Data Science team within CB Decision Sciences. Our team’s goal is continuing to drive optimization and growth across Chase’s retail network. The network has grown tremendously over the last several years to serve 66 million households with retail operations across the contiguous 48 states. We’re very proud of the work we do to make banking more accessible to communities and we wouldn’t have been able to do this without the people developing and executing upon data and analytic solutions across the firm!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for code execution as part of Model Governance
  • Implementing Model controls such as performance monitoring & quality checks
  • Model execution as per agreed frequency
  • Creating detailed documentation on above Modeling activities for review by stakeholders
  • Code hardening & automation.

Required qualifications, skills and capabilities:

  • Minimum 3 to 4 years of experience in Model Controls/Model Governance/Model Validation/MRGR
  • Experience of hands-on data analysis using Python & Pyspark
  • Self-sufficiency in querying and extracting data from Enterprise databases (Teradata, etc.), Hadoop platforms or AWS/Azure
  • Ability to create project plans and track project status, & experience in Stakeholder management
  • Excellent communicator able to convey information in an understandable, compelling, and persuasive manner to business partners and senior executives.
  • Experience in developing and implementing data science models

Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities:

  • Understanding of spatial data science and GIS applications (e.g., Esri, QGIS, PostGIS) preferred, but not required.
  • Financial services background preferred, but not required
  • Financial services background preferred, but not required
  • Domain specific expertise including fraud/risk analytics, bank operations, and distribution strategy preferred, but not required
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as business, finance, economics, engineering, statistics, information system, or mathematics; Master’s degree in a STEM field preferred
