As a Legal Entity Control Analyst in our Finance team, you will spend each day defining, refining and delivering set goals for our firm.

The LEC organization is responsible for ensuring the overall integrity and validity of financial statements, financial regulatory reporting and management financial reporting associated with their entities. The group performs critical reporting and control functions for the organization. The team is also responsible for improving ongoing processes and ensuring execution and implementation of overall financial architecture. The LEC control function is responsible to review the reasonableness of the information on an aggregated basis and ensure controls over the transaction cycle along with managing stakeholders' expectations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the compliance of IFRS 9 and IFRS 16 for various CIB entities; additionally, support various SEC & Reg related deliverables.
  • Ensure completion of regulatory priorities and timely delivery of requested information/reporting.
  • Develop a good understanding of regulatory policies, IFRS & US GAAP, and assess their impact.
  • Maintain a complete written framework.
  • Prepare management reporting and contribute to internal, control, and regulatory audits.
  • Collaborate with the team on delivering multiple complex and ad-hoc regulatory reports to very tight deadlines, in cooperation with a number of stakeholders and contributors across the firm.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders in different businesses and functions (e.g., Legal, Tax, Finance, Operations, Risk, Business managers/partners).

    Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Take responsibility for completing objectives.
  • Develop productive working relationships with colleagues in all functions and locations.
  • Become a subject matter expert.
  • Identify and address potential risks, with appropriate prompt escalation.
  • Effectively communicate.
  • Hold a degree level (or equivalent) in Commerce/Economics or another relevant area.
  • Be a qualified accountant (CA, CPA, ACCA, ACA).
  • Have approximately 1 year work experience in legal entity controls/regulatory reporting.
  • Possess a very good understanding/experience of business processes in a financial institution.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of pragmatism with a solution-oriented approach.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Exhibit very good communication skills with the ability to work with senior management, auditors, and regulators.
  • Possess excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Have knowledge of SEC/REG, IFRS & US GAAP requirements (a plus).
  • Have fluent English language skills, both oral and written. Possess good Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel knowledge.
