Job Description

We are hiring a Senior Business Manager at the Executive Director level supporting the Head of Workforce Data and our Asian Pacific Corporate Centers for Human Resources (HR).

As a Senior Business Manager at the Executive Director level reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer of HR, the successful candidate will be outcome-focused and foster a collaborative team environment. You will support the business end-to-end, assist in implementing key initiatives, and act as a trusted advisor and counterweight to leadership. Your role will be dynamic and will vary according to the priorities of different stakeholders. You will regularly interact with key stakeholders, work across the business, and must demonstrate the ability to work under tight timelines, digest large amounts of data, and oversee special projects.

Job Responsibilities

  • Strategic Partnership: Act as a strategic partner to the head of business and CFO in all aspects of the function, including strategy, controls, people, and financial performance.
  • Financial Management: Oversee financial and headcount reporting, including managing productivity targets and identifying areas to become more efficient. Oversee the financial planning and forecasting process (headcount and expenses) and implement initiatives to support appropriate financial discipline across the team.
  • Performance Analysis: Develop and oversee key performance indicators that generate business insights. Analyze and communicate all aspects of performance to the Group’s management team, including at town halls, off-sites, and business reviews.
  • Executive Reporting: Deliver high-quality, consistent, and meaningful executive reporting and analytics to identify trends and themes that support business decisions.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with colleagues across HR including recruiting, learning and development and compensation in the development of business cases for investments and associated outcomes to help advance the function’s strategy.
  • Project Management: Provide a high level of responsiveness to executive ad-hoc requests related to project management, presentation development, and business analysis. Organize complex information in a strategic and compelling way, demonstrating strong design acumen and expertise.
  • Real Estate and Location Strategy: Support real estate capacity and location strategy execution.
  • Organizational Evolution: Support the organizational evolution toward Product, including the routines that underpin new ways of working.
  • Risk Management: Partner with HR Controls to help escalate and remediate gaps or risks to the control environment of the function.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with key business partners to understand projects and drive next steps. Regularly interact with key stakeholders, work across the business, and demonstrate the ability to work under tight timelines, digest large amounts of data, and oversee special projects.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Prior experience in business management, corporate finance, or a chief of staff role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Corporate Finance, or relevant work experience.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with experience handling confidential and sensitive information and preparing materials for a senior executive audience.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, storytelling, and project management skills with a proven track record of execution against deliverables; a strategic thinker who challenges and questions activities to achieve the right outcomes for the organization.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Desired experience working with key cross-functional groups in a complex line of business, implementing complex and new procedures, processes, and systems.
