The Asia Stock Borrow & Lending (SBL) Middle Office team provides operational support for Equities activity, working with the business, technology and external clients to provide a positive experience.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will join SBL Trade Support team who are primarily responsible for providing superior client service and to ensure all operational controls are followed. The successful candidate will be required to partner with our clients, as well as with our internal teams; Front Office, Product Development, Product Control, Client Service, Sales, Corporate Actions, and Technology. There will be continual opportunities to be involved with a variety of initiatives across the organization and to contribute towards a rapidly evolving environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for Trade capture and booking
- Management of Collateral , daily mark to market and monitoring of financing basket exposures
- Manage maintenance of Account for new and existing clients
- Monitor avoidance of buy-ins and of fails management
- Ensure traders are compliant with rules and regulations in various local jurisdictions
- Involvement in process improvement, system implementation, new product or new market rollouts
- Act as First point of contact for Front Office Trading and Sales on SBL trade bookings / issue resolution
- Coordinate with global partners in middle office and client service to help drive process improvements, system changes and improve/maintain our client relationships
- Manage client queries, ensuring they are investigated and resolved in a timely fashion
- Manage trade life cycle; settlements, corporate actions, affirmations & regulatory reporting
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Associate or Equivalent
- 3 year minimum experience in the industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong working relationships with marketers, external clients, traders and other support teams
- Must be a self-starter with the motivation, demonstration of initiative, and ownership mentality to think outside of the box as necessary
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to take ownership and responsibility. Ability to drive and manage global initiatives and projects driven by the business, industry or operations
- Skillset to properly escalate issues to management, controls team and front office sales and trading teams.
- Team Player, but also must be able to work independently
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Good understanding of derivatives regulatory knowledge is an advantage
- Working understanding of Equities, Bonds, and Swap products; and their relevant process flows is a necessity
- Must have strong PC skills with particular emphasis on Microsoft excel, formula construction, and excel reconciliation solutions
