As the Securities Services Controls Management Vice President in the Business Control Management team, you will be at the forefront of managing Global Custody’s business's risk and control framework. You will become a key member of the Control Management team within Global Custody, focusing on our compliance with CASS and also spearheading control engagement for our expansion into Digital Securities. You'll play a crucial role in supporting the end-to-end operating model, identifying key risk areas, and assessing the necessary controls. You will collaborate across various Securities Services products to ensure a cohesive service offering and support risk mitigation activities, including oversight of issue and action plans.

Job Responsibilities

  • CASS Compliance: Ensure compliance with CASS regulations through robust control frameworks and regular audit
  • Custody Risk and Control Management: Support the end to end risk and control framework for Global Custody, ensuring adherence with the Operational Risk/CORE Standards
  • Digital Securities: Lead control engagement for the expansion into Digital Securities
  • Risk Assessment: Identify key risk areas in the operating model and assess necessary controls
  • Cohesion: Work across Securities Services Control Management to ensure a cohesive approach
  • Risk Mitigation: Support risk mitigation activities, including oversight of issue and action plans
  • Collaboration: Partner with various departments to ensure a consistent approach to control management

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Exposure and interest in effective Risk Management approaches with a good understanding of the three lines of defence model
  • Knowledge of the role of a Custodian e.g. safekeeping of assets, settlement, tax, corporate actions, etc.
  • Experience in Controls, Business Management, Regulatory Affairs, Legal, Compliance or a similar role that has a risk and control focus
