As a Custody Operations - Data Automation Analyst in Operations you will join the Change, Execution and Transformation (CET) Team within Custody Operations. You will contribute to high-impact initiatives ranging from People, Process and Technology with senior leadership visibility. You will identify opportunities for large impact transformation using a data driven approach, leverage intelligent tools like Alteryx, Owl DQ, Tableau, UiPath, etc. and contribute to programs that will deliver on a target state vision to increase operational automation and efficiency. You will be asked to lead work streams/projects from assessment through articulation of recommendations and execution.

Job responsibilities

  • Conducts analysis and investigation of operational data issues through trend analysis, root cause analysis and deep dives
  • Captures and documents ideas, use cases, issues related to data quality and management
  • Liaises with various stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of uses cases to streamline data quality
  • Communicates to senior stakeholders on projects and key MIS indicators
  • Focuses on metrics that can be produced on an ongoing basis to validate the value being added and to drive continuous improvement
  • Supports intake of Machine Learning (ML) projects; helps facilitate the process to engage with internal and external solution providers
  • Expands the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine learning (ML) across the department by enhancing and promoting the support infrastructure (e.g., use-case repository, component library, etc.)
  • Assists in maintaining the department wide Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine learning (ML) Book of Work and develop and expand on associated reporting and key success metrics
  • Supports the development and coordination of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine learning (ML) acceleration strategy
  • Works with stakeholders across multiple groups including Product Development, Middle Office, Core Operations, Technology, and Finance
  • Supports other workstreams like New Business, Cost-To-Serve (CTS) computations, Run-The-Bank (RTB) projects, process reengineering, location strategy, IAS charter activities and managing production issues

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Custody product & process knowledge/experience with understanding of the trade transaction lifecycle, cash management, FX and asset servicing
  • Knowledge of Alteryx, Tableau, UiPath and other AI/ML tools is essential
  • Ability to analyze data, processes to identify issues, use cases where Intelligent Automation tools can be leveraged to solve problems
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and independently find solutions
  • Strong verbal and written communication and ability to face off demanding stakeholders, managing their expectations
  • Strong oral and written communication, presentation skills and stakeholder management
  • Continuously displays strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • Independently motivated and able to deliver with minimal supervision, while working effectively in a team setting

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Custody Operations, Client Service or Middle Office experience
  • Experience participating in strategic change initiatives
  • Candidates with prior experience for implementing projects leveraging AI/ML and blockchain technology
  • Relevant knowledge and experience will be considered in conjunction with related business degree, or industry recognized training
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, specifically around data analysis and management
  • Knowledge and exposure to tools such as Owl DQ (Collibra DQ) is beneficial
  • Knowledge of Python and SQL is preferred, and other coding languages is beneficial
