As an Wholesale Credit Risk - Regulatory Strategy - Associate, you will partner across wholesale credit risk functions to manage regulatory exams and requests. You will use strong corporate credit skills to strategically advise credit teams and to challenge responses in order to best represent the firm.

You will develop a broad and deep understanding of the regulatory environment and how it impacts the firm. You will keep up to date on emerging themes in credit and how the regulators assess bank lending in light those themes.

Job Responsibilities

  • Using corporate credit skills and subject matter knowledge, provide independent challenge to credit teams’ responses to Regulatory Exam and Ad Hoc questions.
  • Challenge rationale for corporate credit risk ratings for Exam sample credits
  • Advise credit teams and strategize on how to best present credit rationale or credit process under review.
  • Prepare credit teams for meetings with Regulators or External Auditors
  • In advance of Exams and Audits, help teams prepare by engaging appropriate subject matter experts, and assessing teams against prior regulatory feedback or questions
  • Identify Exam and Audit issues and escalate to senior management
  • Manage Exam or Audit infrastructure including TEAMS/ Sharepoint site, tracker and other logistical tools
  • Provide Lessons Learned and observations after Exams and Audits to enhance credit teams’ future performance
  • Analyze data via excel or other tools and visually summarize key credit characteristics, relationships, and regulatory insights

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Bachelor's Degree or commensurate management related job experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Wholesale Credit Risk Management
  • Strong knowledge of financial statement analysis
  • Demonstrate ability to understand and apply wholesale credit concepts including understanding cashflow projections
  • Experience in Wholesale Compliance and/or Regulatory Risk Management also considered
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple requests at the same time
  • Strong written and verbal presentation skills
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical skills

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Project Management experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required. SharePoint and Data visualization tools a plus
