Job Description

You will join the team that delivers best-in-class solutions for developing and retaining talent across the CIB lines of business.

The Commercial & Investment Bank (CIB) Talent Advisory team works extensively across the CIB to drive the talent and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) strategy and support key talent and DEI initiatives that are integrated within the business and culture. The team advises business leaders on people strategies and partners across Human Resources (HR) and the firm to implement solutions that strengthen talent management, performance development and skills and leadership development.

As the Talent Advisor – Vice President within CIB Talent Advisory team, you will support key talent management programs and initiatives. You will partner with the Talent team, Senior Human Resources Business Advisors (HRBAs) and senior business leaders to deliver strategic talent development agenda to drive business value through leadership development, performance development, and managerial effectiveness. In partnership with, and support of, the Talent Advisor will work with client groups to strategize, implement and execute talent development solutions including talent management, performance development, change management and career development.

Job responsibilities

  • Partner with and support HRBAs to guide clients through the development life cycle from strategy to execution including:
    • Talent Management: support clients through the process and follow-up action planning for talent and succession planning including the identification of top talent employees, ensuring a lens on the diversity of our talent.
    • Performance Development: advise on performance development approach and promote ongoing feedback, development and career discussions across client groups. Support year end processes including regulatory requirements as part of annual review cycle.
    • Manager Development: support the manager effectiveness strategy to drive manager accountability across levels for CIB client groups
  • Operate with a global and firmwide lens, demonstrating flexibility for nuances in strategy and execution.
  • Project or program manage the execution of key elements of the talent agenda across the CIB client groups
  • Leverage a data-driven approach to sharpen focus and ROI of DEI activities to ensure investment is aligned with our most impactful priorities

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Relevant experience within the talent and development space
  • Proven business analytical skills (ability to utilize critical thinking and analytical skills to identify issues and trends, develop solutions and/or recommendations to address root cause)
  • Strong organization and time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously
  • Excellent project/program management and planning skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and develop strong working partnerships with HR colleagues and the business
  • Strong PowerPoint skills, high attention to detail and ability to convey a narrative through use of data and research
  • Strong data and analytical skillset with highly tuned Excel and Business Objects knowledge
  • Experience in designing and delivering talent development interventions
