Job Description

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Facilitate and control daily workflows and operations for the Asset Services team. Ensure all daily controls and processing are completed, and facilitate client service inquiry resolutions, cash breaks, and cash events. Drive and monitor the production of key risk and control metrics. Plan and support tactical and strategic system enhancements for the Asset Services platform. Maximize team capacity through effective resource planning and ensure the team structure is robust through effective training and succession planning. Implement Business Intelligence tools to streamline the performance of the operations teams, creating robust reporting tools and enhanced controls. Drive Strategic Projects, such as industry mandates and process improvements, to improve the end to end flows for the various functions. Drive reconciliations post pay date to reduce risk by clearing Receivable and Payable balances. Coach, mentor, and collaborate with staff to ensure all standard operating procedures and controls are followed and department deadlines are met. Engage LEAN and other process improvement methods to reengineer functions with the goal of enhancing service and reducing operating spending.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Finance, Business Administration, or related field of study plus 5 (Five) years of experience in the job offered or as Asset Manager, Operations Vice President, Operations Team Lead, Associate, or related occupation. The employer will accept a 3 or 4-year bachelor's degree. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Mathematics, Finance, Business Administration, or related field of study plus 3 (Three) years of experience in the job offered or as Asset Manager, Operations Vice President, Operations Team Lead, Associate, or related occupation.

Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: Designing flows using business intelligence tools to reconcile and reduce manual steps in Income and Corporate Action functions; Driving projects through a Merit Claims Manager and DTC Claims utility to automate and streamline claims functions across various platforms on Repos and Fails Claim; Managing projects and coaching peers and managers on utilizing business intelligence tools; Reconciling equities and fixed income products; Reconciling payables, receivables and nostro; Handling marker claims related to borrow, loans, repos and fails; Automation tools including Alteryx and tableau; Working on multi-stream programs; Financial markets products and the transaction lifecycle in Corporate Actions; Financial instruments and corporate actions; Markets or prime brokerage operations; and Dividends, coupons, and claims manager tools including Merit and Kingsfield.

Job Location: 500 Stanton Christiana Road, Newark, DE 19713. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.
