As a Control Management Associate in our Finance team, you will spend each day defining, refining and delivering set goals for our firm You will be responsible for testing and validation of Finance Processes . This program is aligned to the Finance organization which is responsible for ensuring the overall integrity and validity of the control environment. The role supports Finance Control Office and primarily responsible to evaluate controls governed by Firmwide Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) program, Firmwide CCAR CFO Attestation Program (CCAP), Compliance and Operation Risk Evaluation (CORE) program. In addition, provide governance and oversight on Finance Tooling and Estimation Inventory as well as Inter Affiliated Charters.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the SOX/CCAP program, overseeing all aspects and managing deliverables. Drive and participate in SOX control framework changes, liaise with global SOX governance teams, ensure timely execution of deliverables, and report findings to SOX/CCAP leadership and management.
  • Provide leadership support for the end-to-end execution of the Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), including managing control breaks and resolutions to reduce financial loss, regulatory exposure, and reputational risk.
  • Create a detailed testing plan and provide clear execution guidelines to the team.
  • Conduct in-depth reviews of testing to ensure control gaps/deficiencies are identified, tracked, and reported, and recommend timely remediation and action plans.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancement, simplification, and automation.
  • Build cohesive stakeholder relationships and proactively manage global and local controls agendas for senior management.
  • Engage with control colleagues across the firm, including business, operations management, legal, compliance, risk, audit, regulators, and technology control functions.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Minimum 7 years accounting/finance experience with Big 4 or large financial institution.
  • Strong controls, Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) and US GAAP expertise
  • Proficient knowledge of control and risk management concepts with the ability to design, create, and evaluate a Risk & Control Self-Assessment in conjunction with business partners
  • Strong interpersonal skills, relationship building and influencing skills to with the ability to effectively partner with all levels of management across numerous teams.
  • Strong analytical skills, problem solving and communication skills. Detailed oriented, self-driven with excellent multi-tasking and organizational aptitudes. Have strong work ethics and deep desire to learn and develop individual skill sets as well as of the team
  • Outstanding people and talent management skills to lead a high-quality performing team


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Excel (Pivot tables, v-lookups) and PowerPoint, Microsoft Access desirable
  • Experience designing applications a plus
  • Knowledge of Tableau and Alteryx will be an added advantage
  • Audit, internal control, product or financial control experience preferred
