As a Product Delivery Manager in the Payment Network Office (PNO), you work to enhance and optimize the way payment networks are managed and governed. As a key member of the team, you create solutions and efficiencies that enable successful implementations in an expedient and organized way.

This Vice President position manages the oversight of the payment networks (Visa, Mastercard, America Express, Discover, etc.) on the PNO’s Governance (PNOG) team. This role ensures network / PNO compliance with JPMC’s Third Party Oversight program and is accountable to reduce the bank’s exposure by proactively identifying and raising emerging risks and facilitating collaboration among key stakeholders across CIB and CCB as well as externally with the payment networks.

Job responsibilities

  • Work in collaboration with other PNO sub-teams, Control Partners, business stakeholders and network contacts (as applicable) to create, establish and maintain governance frameworks which hold all parties accountable to contract terms on a proactive basis
  • Monitoring and reporting payment network/brand performance per contractual obligations to mitigate any potential risk to JPMC businesses
  • Supporting the development of a process for audit functions between various JPMorgan Chase businesses and the payment networks/brands
  • Continuously and proactively identifying ways to improve PNO control frameworks/governance processes and procedures
  • Driving an environment of risk and control; escalating issues to management as needed
  • Contribute to business climate and culture, encouraging integrity, respect, excellence and innovation
  • Leads end-to-end product delivery processes including intake, dependency management, release management, product operationalization, delivery feasibility decision-making, and product performance reporting, while escalating opportunities to improve efficiencies and functional coordination
  • Leads the completion of change management activities across functional partners and ensures adherence to the firm’s risk, controls, compliance, and regulatory requirements
  • Effectively manages timelines and dependencies while monitoring blockers, ensuring adequate resourcing, and liaising with stakeholders and functional partners

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise with the payment network brands and/or within merchant services
  • Demonstrated ability to execute operational management and change readiness activities
  • Strong understanding of delivery and a proven track record of implementing continuous improvement processes
  • Proven experience in governance, control or risk management
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a team player who can collaborate effectively
  • Ability to work effectively and multitask successfully in fast-paced and complex business environment

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Some background in or experience with internal/external audits and/or legal/contract language
  • Familiarity and/or working knowledge of payment network rules
  • Specialized knowledge of merchant acquiring business
