The J.P. Morgan Italian Corporate Finance Team has a strong reputation with an exemplary track record and is recognised by clients, other advisors and competitors a leading franchise in the Italian market.

J.P. Morgan Italian Corporate Finance team provides a full range of investment banking services to numerous clients based in Italy: origination and execution of mergers & acquisitions and broader corporate finance transactions alongside colleagues from industry, product and other country teams.

As an Investment Banking Italy Corporate Finance Analyst, you will be a key player in our business strategy and execution. You will participate in the "full cycle" of transactional execution including idea generation, preparing marketing pitches, reviewing and formulating financial analysis, preparing and presenting internal committee memoranda and client presentations. You will play a pivotal role in implementing the deal execution including working with other analysts and associates, as well as assisting more senior bankers and clients.

You will have strong functional skills in the major areas of investment banking and will demonstrate the ability to become a banker who can generate and execute their own transactions. Job responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day investment banking transactions
  • Project co-ordination between country, industry and product teams, as well as other advisers and clients
  • Support on execution, marketing and coverage work across industries
  • Build detailed and complex financial models
  • Conduct detailed valuation analysis, including DCF, LBO analysis, trading and transaction multiples
  • Maintain dialogue with clients and build relationships
  • Manage presentation of origination ideas and transaction related materials to clients and other advisors

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Relevant experience in Investment Banking / Corporate Finance or Private Equity in an international environment
  • Fluency in Italian and English
  • Transaction expertise and command of underlying technical skills
  • Strong financial modelling and technical skills
  • Understanding and appreciation of investment banking products
  • Management of internal conflicts, commitments and engagement processes
  • Comfort in and commitment to a strong teamwork environment
  • Strong project management and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to work efficiently and diligently against stringent time deadlines
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Experience in dealing with clients, senior bankers and other transactional advisers
