This is an opportunity to join the leading international investment bank in Switzerland.
As an Investment Banking Switzerland Coverage Analyst, you will be a key player in our business strategy and execution. You will participate in the "full cycle" of transactional execution work on execution, marketing and coverage of Swiss large and midcap companies. You will work across M&A, equity and debt capital markets and acquisition finance with colleagues from the Swiss team, as well as colleagues from various industry, other country and / or product teams across EMEA and globally.
You will have strong functional skills in the major areas of investment banking and will demonstrate the ability to become a banker who can generate and execute their own transactions. Most importantly, you will be highly enthusiastic about J.P. Morgan's mission, be an independent thinker with an entrepreneurial work ethic and be driven and committed to the bank’s success.
Job responsibilities
- Support on execution, marketing and coverage work across industries
- Conduct research and analysis of market data and companies
- Support the preparation of client presentations
- Perform valuation analyses (e.g. based on multiples, DCF, LBO, etc.)
- Build detailed and complex financial models
- Execute transactions from pitch to close (e.g. public and private mergers, acquisitions and divestitures across all industry sectors, equity capital markets advisory on various types of capital raising transactions such as listings and rights issues across Switzerland, etc.)
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Relevant full-time Investment Banking or Corporate Finance experience
- Excellent analytical skills, with high level of attention to detail
- Proven financial modelling / valuation skills
- Knowledge about the transaction cycle of relevant investment banking products
- Demonstrates commitment to a strong teamwork environment
- Demonstrates organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work self-directed and independently and to multitask on numerous assignments
- Proficiency in MS office applications and relevant knowledge of customary investment banking databases (FactSet, Bloomberg, etc.)
- Relevant academic background and experience
- Fluency in English required, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills
