As an Investment Bank Credit Risk Administration Executive Director within the Investment Bank and Wholesale Credit Risk team, you will act as a strategically in spearheading process enhancements, offering governance and oversight of operational processes, and collaborating with crucial stakeholders to promote efficiency and effective controls. Reporting to the Head of Wholesale Credit Risk Administration Managing Director, your role will also involve collaboration with Credit Risk Administration, Control Management, Wholesale Lending Services, Business Management, and Credit Product and Strategy teams.

Job Responsibilities

  • Leading a culture of collaboration and partnership to balance the needs of our clients and the firm. Your commitment to efficiency will involve enhancing existing processes through process improvement and automation, while embracing innovative opportunities offered by new technologies.
  • Leading and managing the Investment Bank Credit Risk Administration team, partnering with the Credit Risk Management team to develop and achieve business priorities and objectives. You will collaborate with the credit risk team to develop, steer, and execute policy and process enhancements, pushing implementation as needed.
  • Monitoring and overseeing credit processes, data quality, and data remediation, ensuring appropriate oversight and controls. This includes initiating process reviews and enhancements, developing and managing action plans, and supporting audit, credit review, and regulatory exam activities.
  • Working with Control Management, Wholesale Lending Services, Compliance, Conduct and Operational Risk, Finance, Reporting, and other stakeholders to improve risk management and controls. You will serve as a thought leader and advocate for credit risk in technology projects and deployments, working groups, and oversight committees.
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of risk administration professionals. Setting clear performance expectations, providing regular feedback and coaching, and fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment are key aspects of this role. You will ensure team members have the necessary resources and training to perform their roles effectively, leading team engagement and motivation through recognition and career development opportunities.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • 8 years or more of experience in a similar commercial or investment bank credit or banking is required. Experience in audit, control, operations, or program management role, with a track record of exceeding performance expectations may also apply.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary, including experience presenting to executive leadership.
  • Ability to assemble and lead high-impact working groups and teams, partnering with executive leadership and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Broad corporate lending knowledge and experience, including knowledge of primary corporate lending regulations and reporting requirements, is required.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and effectively deliver work products in a time-sensitive, team-based environment.
  • Experience in control and process oversight, including gap identification, root cause analysis, control design and execution, and control management and monitoring, is essential.
  • An understanding of data management and proficiency with Microsoft applications such as Excel, Office, SharePoint, and PowerPoint is required.
