As a Product Control Associate in our Finance team, you will spend each day defining, refining and delivering set goals for our firm. You will work closely with all regional product controllers to carry out control functions and support product and business managers. Roles includes below functions:
Job Responsibilities
- Perform monthly close activities, including reviewing financial data, investigating significant variances and transactions, conducting fluctuation analysis, preparing financial reporting deliverables, estimating accruals, performing reconciliations, and substantiating the general ledger.
- Drive change in the month-end process to improve transparency and efficiency in results.
- Ensure financial information complies with US and local GAAP and the firm’s corporate accounting policies, documenting exceptions where appropriate.
- Act as a resource for project management and business initiatives.
- Identify and drive targeted reviews for specific products/processes based on quantitative and qualitative factors and risks.
- Communicate with Business Managers, Product Managers, and Financial Controllers to monitor risks and escalate when appropriate.
- Understand and contribute to the end-to-end control framework of the business and function.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Excellent communication skills and executive presence including the ability to present complex and sensitive matters to Senior management, Product Managers & Business Managers across levels.
- Strong analytical, problem solving skills, attention to detail and control focus
- Enthusiastic, highly motivated and effective under tight timeframes and pressure
- Strong interpersonal, communication and team-building skills
- Ability to work in a matrix organization with limited local oversight ensuring timely escalation & resolution of issues
- Proven skills in identifying and resolving control issues that may impact financial results
- Good knowledge of Treasury Services products and processes, including blockchain, cash management, payment clearing processing and liquidity management
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Qualified accountant preferably with 4 years experience within the Financial Services industry or Product Controller experience an advantage
- Proficiency in digital solutions, particularly Alteryx and Tableau, is preferred.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills (including but not limited to VBA\SQL\Python) and good knowledge of SAP system.
