As a Specialist, Finance Operations, Travel Procurement you contribute to the team by leveraging your expertise in accounts payable to make a significant impact. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams.

Job responsibilities

  • Completes payments and control expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.
  • Handles accounts payable for separate entities and vendors. Including international-related accounts payable.
  • Company Credit cards reconciliations, ensuring client bill back when applicable.
  • Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoices and expense reports.
  • Ensures vendor invoices are paid timely and accurately while adhering to departmental procedures.
  • Pay vendors by monitoring discount opportunities, verifying federal identification numbers, scheduling, and preparing checks, and resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies.
  • Process transactions and perform accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling books of accounts.
  • Organizes and maintains retention files for required period.
  • Assists with various special projects and ad-hoc requests as needed or assigned.
  • Projects positive attitude with high energy, diplomacy, and creativity in work strategies.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)
  • Capable of working both independently and cooperatively with a team
  • Extremely organized, detail-oriented, and thorough in keeping records
  • Able to maintain poise and professionalism in meeting deadlines
  • Keen sense of urgency as well as flexibility to change as needed

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience within the travel industry – preferred
  • Previous experience with foreign currency, is a major plus
