Job Summary
As a Associate / Sr Associate in our Credit Risk Middle Office, Private Banking Operations team, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation various process improvement and automation initiatives and Business Management along with Stakeholder Management. The modernization effort entails partnering with senior stakeholders in designing the Target Operating Model of “Future Operations” for Lending business. You will also have the opportunity to work with stakeholders across the firm and play a pivotal role in ensuring the bank's operations run efficiently and effectively. The role will be key support in creating Financial Analysis to quicken Underwriting decisions. Requires excellent collaboration with the senior partners to ensure there is high visibility and awareness of job in progress.
Job Responsibilities:
- Own the execution strategy of Operations process improvement and automation plan to modernize core platforms, workflow, and processes.
- Support Operations Delivery and work with Program / Transformation teams to map business requirements including operational controls, processes, and customizations.
- Key skills sets include review operations processes and identify opportunities to simplify and automation of process steps.
- Ability to manage Operations analytics delivery, focused on Business insights, KPIs, SLAs, Service Delivery, and control thresholds.
- Leading ongoing projects, identifying new opportunities and keep management informed on the regular progress of all initiatives.
- Partner with respective BAU domain leads to execute growth and change plans.
- Adopting the Agile framework, conduct business analysis, coordinate new process implementation, process changes, and conduct process analysis.
- Driving process improvement / automation initiatives and efficiency opportunities with the Change Teams.
- Ability to write test cases for platform testing. Experienced implementing test strategies, in partnership with IT and Change teams.
Required Educational Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in Operations within the Banking Industry is required and preferably with exposure to Private Banking
- Knowledge / Experience in Credit Middle-Office or Trading Middle -Office (OTC, Structured Products or Asset Servicing) is highly preferred
- Must be highly disciplined, a self-starter, and can execute on assignments independently. Adaptability to learn new tasks and demonstrate a willingness to understand the details of a process.
- Strong ability to document (or make changes) to standard operating procedures, risk documentations and policy documents associated with Operations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex operational issues.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders (partnership mindset).
- Strong understanding of the Operations ecosystem- controls, reconciliation, documentation, and operational risk management.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Candidate must be open to work in India evening / USA shifts.
- Strong verbal & written communication to effectively communicate with various stake-holders and across levels.
- Ability to anticipate issues and escalate / clarify queries, work with limited supervision, receiving minimum instructions assignments.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Managed/Worked in an operational team with team handling Experience will be an added advantage.
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies and Low Code / No Code technologies, like - UI Path, Signavio etc.
- Knowledge of Tableau and Alteryx CORE certification is a plus.
- Programming knowledge – Python / SQL. Familiarity with ETL concepts or API Usage will be an added advantage
- Any kind or knowledge and experience on AI ML would be an added advantage.
