As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking- JP Wealth Management, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job responsibilities

  • Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
  • Functional Testing: Understanding product requirements, functionality.
  • Contract and End-to-End (E2E) Testing: Comprehensive scenarios, data integrity.
  • Performance Testing: Design, execution, analysis.
  • Regression Testing: Ensure new changes don't impact functionality.
  • Test Planning: Understand product requirements, create test plans and test cases.
  • Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with product teams to define use cases and acceptance criteria.
  • Test data: identification and instrumentation

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
  • AWS: Knowledge of EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, Cloud watch, EMR, Step functions
  • Postman: API testing.
  • SQL: Complex queries, data validation.
  • Excel: Pivot tables, vlookups, charts, data analysis
  • Performance Testing: Tools like JMeter, LoadRunner
  • Data Pipelines/ETL Processes: Data extraction, transformation, loading.
  • Log Analysis: Troubleshooting, debugging.
  • Python Scripting: Basic automation scripts.
  • Data Analytics: Trends, insights, visualization tools.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Proven critical thinking ability; can understand all the available information, tie it all together, and speak to it clearly and concisely.
