DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Design strategic frameworks that aid in credit policy decisioning across varied home lending products. Build and facilitate cross-functional relationships to support both risk and business stakeholders in their policy, capital market, and product indicators. Mentor and train team members and monitor their book of work. Identify solutions to complex, open-ended business problems and develop structured frameworks to facilitate business decisions and support home lending origination strategies. Research the industry’s best standards in order to establish best-in-class origination decision strategies. Collaborate with modeling, forecasting, risk appetite, pricing, finance, capital markets, controls, compliance, and model governance teams to develop and operationalize the key strategic frameworks. Coach junior team members on all aspects of strategic framework development. Convey complex ideas to teammates as well as present the teams’ findings to senior management in a clear and concise way.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics and Statistics, Economics, Finance, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Strategic Analytics, Credit Risk Analyst, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics and Statistics, Economics, Finance, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Strategic Analytics, Credit Risk Analyst, or related occupation.
Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: finance, statistics, and banking in the financial industry; data manipulation; data analysis; data reporting; mortgage business, products, and risk management; linear and logistic regressions; decision trees; statistical regression; modeling or data science analytical techniques; programming in SQL, SAS, or Python.
Job Location: 8181 Communications Pkwy, Plano, TX 75024. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.
