As an Applied AI/ML Data Scientist within our innovative and collaborative team, you will be a part of a dynamic environment that merges the innovation of digital transformation with the robustness of a leading global investment bank. You will be instrumental in breaking down traditional barriers, working alongside exceptional talent to redefine the boundaries of what's possible in finance. Our team is a diverse mix of AI experts, data scientists, data engineers, investment banking specialists, product managers, and designers—all committed to revolutionizing the future of investment banking. Your responsibilities will include leveraging AI and analytics to innovate and disrupt traditional investment banking approaches, thereby shaping the tools and strategies for the future banker. You will focus on Recommender Systems, Time Series Forecasting, and Classification Systems, utilizing the latest advances in Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI technologies. You will apply a range of analytical approaches—from traditional statistical models to advanced machine learning techniques—to solve complex problems in capital markets. You will also develop innovative methods to analyze and derive actionable insights from unique and complex datasets, and present these compelling insights to stakeholders through clear communication, visualizations, and impactful storytelling.
Job responsibilities
- Leverage AI and analytics to disrupt and innovate investment banking approaches, helping shape the tools and strategies for the banker of tomorrow.
- Focus on Recommender Systems, Time Series Forecasting, and Classification Systems, utilizing the latest advances in Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI technologies.
- Apply diverse analytical approaches—from traditional statistical models to advanced machine learning techniques—to solve complex problems in capital markets.
- Develop creative methods to analyse and derive actionable insights from unique and complex datasets.
- Present compelling insights to stakeholders through clear communication, visualizations, and impactful storytelling.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or a related STEM field.
- 7+ years of proven experience in developing and deploying production-grade machine learning systems in real-world applications.
- Proficient in Python and key data science libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, TensorFlow, PyTorch, PySpark). Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms. Strong foundation in software engineering principles, including code modularity, documentation, versioning and adherence to best practices ensuring maintainable and scalable code development.
- Creative thinker who can tackle complex challenges and deliver meaningful impact.
- Technical excellence with strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and have a passion for learning and innovation.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) and natural language processing applications.
