Job Description
Join our dynamic Investment Research Team as a Product Owner Senior Associate, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of product innovation. As a core leader, you'll drive value for our customers and guide successful product launches. Collaborate directly with the business to enhance revenue, reduce costs, and mitigate risks.
As a Product Owner Senior Associate within the Investment Research Team, you will be an integral part of the Quantitative Research and Governance teams. You will support investment analytics functions by driving product innovation and guiding successful launches. Your role will have a substantial impact across the business, focusing on revenue enhancement, cost reduction, and risk mitigation.
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define the product vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
- Evaluate data, information, ideas, and arguments when determining what should be built, and describe what is needed in clear and concise user stories.
- Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders and the development team, gathering requirements, providing updates, and managing expectations. Maintain a detailed record of decisions made during meetings.
- Participate in sprint planning meetings to help the team understand the product backlog items and their priorities. Review completed work to ensure it meets the acceptance criteria and provides value to the customer.
- Drive committed partnerships with your business stakeholders, developers, designers, QA, and other team members to ensure successful product delivery.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Graduate or Post-Graduate with a minimum of 7+ years of experience in Banking, Financial Services, or Technology, with knowledge of different asset classes and investment products.
- Awareness of Portfolio risk across Suitability and Investments for multi-asset portfolios
- Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role, demonstrable experience in agile product practices throughout the product lifecycle.
- Familiarity with the Product Ownership model and Agile Development, including project planning, Jira story writing, requirements management (elicitation, documentation, prioritization, etc.), process design, procedure authoring, capacity sizing, etc.
- High data literacy, including data collection, synthesis, and translation of results into concrete, actionable solutions.
- Organized and effective execution – work independently, set and manage expectations, and proactively manage efforts across multiple teams with effective communication.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification preferred.
- Knowledge on Alternative products including Hedge Funds, Private Investments, Mutual Funds and ETFs is preferable
- Ability to code in python
