As Control Manager in Digital Product team, you will partner with teams across the Product & Experience organization to drive effective risk and control management throughout the product delivery lifecycle. Job responsibilities
- Support the Product & Experience organization through risk and control management for digital product builds.
- Analyze digital solutions to identify risks and issues, while balancing overall strategic priorities and maintaining a focus on enabling a digital experience for our bankers and clients.
- Build a culture focused on partnership, collaboration and transparency across product teams and lines of defense to enable efficient product delivery.
- Implement control frameworks for data risk management and analytical solutions, ensuring data and artificial intelligence controls become a natural part of the product development lifecycle.
- Be a proactive, independent advisor and thought leader for the product team, serving as a subject matter expert and point of escalation for meeting control obligations.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Expertise in risk and control management, preferably within the financial services sector.
- Understanding of product delivery with the ability to evaluate adequacy of the business control environment.
- Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills. Strong critical thinking and analysis in technical scenarios, attention to detail and able to formulate creative and innovative solutions to complex problems.
- Able to work effectively in highly agile environments, delivering value whilst dealing with high degrees of uncertainty and continuous change.
- Proficiency in process improvement methodologies, with a history of identifying inefficiencies and proposing effective solutions.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Strong knowledge of data risk management (governance, protection, classification, retention, destruction, data use) and artificial intelligence.
- Skill in applying influence and collaborating effectively with stakeholders to drive compliance initiatives and ensure control measures align with industry standards and trends.
- Comfortable working with modern collaboration tools like Jira, Confluence, Teams etc.
- Mentoring skills to support team development and promote a culture of compliance and accountability.
- Able to think through a problem from first principles, taking innovative approaches to address user needs.
