Job Description

The Product Control team is the powerhouse behind financial accuracy and efficiency, providing strategic support to controllers and trading desks to ensure P&L, balance sheet, and month-end close processes are executed flawlessly and on time.

As a vital part of the Corporate Investment Bank Finance team, Securities Services Product Controllers deliver expert support across flagship products including Custody, Fund Services, Alternative Investments Services, Depository Receipts, and Agent Lending—ensuring top-tier quality and control at every step.

Custody stands as the cornerstone of Securities Services, generating $4.1 billion in annualized revenue and safeguarding approximately $27 trillion in assets under custody, reinforcing our leadership and commitment to excellence in the global financial industry.

As a Custody Product Control Associate within the Product Control team, you will be instrumental in supporting daily profit and loss reporting and ensuring a seamless month-end close process. You will provide comprehensive financial analysis to business leaders, aiding them in making informed decisions. By collaborating with various teams, you will help implement robust controls and promote new business initiatives. Your coordination across front and back office functions will be crucial for efficiently resolving reporting and control issues. Additionally, you will serve as a key resource for analytical projects and manage a variety of ad-hoc requests as they arise. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, will be essential for the successful development of this role, along with the ability to build strong partnerships with key stakeholders, including Product Business Management, Financial Control, Billing, External Reporting, and other Product Controllers across the Securities services space.

Job Responsibilities:

-Perform of the monthly financial close, including forecasting, advising on adjustments, providing analysis and commentary.

-Provide detailed analysis and reporting on the financials to desk heads, business managers, and senior finance management.

-Partner with the business to drive forth and implement robust controls and new business initiatives.

-Drive coordination across various front & back office support functions to ensure resolution of control and reporting issues in an accurate and timely manner.

-Serve as an analytical and project support resource for product control.

-Handle various ad-hoc requests on a daily basis

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

-Work experience within Product Control, Financial Control, Accounting, or related area

-Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related area

-Solid understanding of financial products would be advantageous

-Experience doing P&L and month end close process

-Strong analytical skills and attention to detail including a strong control focus

-Excellent communication skills and ability to develop strong working relationships.

-Strong technical skills in using Excel and PowerPoint
