Job Description
We are seeking a Market Data Licensing Professional to manage vendor relationships, oversee expense and inventory management, and ensure compliance with licensing agreements. Familiarity with major market data vendors is essential. Experience with Alteryx and Python is advantageous but not mandatory. Strong analytical and communication skills are required to effectively support our data management operations.
Job responsibilities:
- Assist in building and maintaining a vendor database repository for AWM (Market and Alternative Data) vendors, focusing on fields/categories such as:
- Products offered – e.g., ESG, pricing, reference data, index, etc.
- Contractual usage allowances (limitations by sub LOB, user counts, geographical, etc.)
- External redistribution allowance – client reporting
- Downstream consumption - repositories/applications utilizing the data (Internal Systems)
- Key stakeholders – database/business owners
- Support the CDO WM IPB lead for Alternative Data sources by researching alternative vendors and providing insights to assist the business.
- Provide foundational analysis and support for the license service, including:
- Fielding business licensing requests
- Reviewing contract licensing parameters and Monitoring cost analysis
- Supporting the measuring and tracking of utilization of the market data and corresponding licenses
- Collaborate within Asset Wealth Management and with vendor management partnering teams, including Market Data Sourcing, Third-Party Oversight, Legal, Compliance, Market Data Services, and Finance, to support regulatory and compliance initiatives.
- Communicate issues and solutions to team members, partners, and internal clients, and assist in creating and presenting updates to larger audiences, including senior management.
- Work with guidance in a fast-paced environment while delivering accurate and timely results.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or equivalent work experience
- Industry experience (Financial, Vendor Management) is preferred
- Basic knowledge of financial data or vendors of market data
- Ability to handle questions quickly, drawing on available sources of information and individuals
- Ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to changing business needs
- Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work in a team
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Strong attention to detail, good critical thinking/problem-solving skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills
- Strong follow-through skills and ownership through resolution
- General knowledge of Microsoft Suite, with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
- Analytical ability and technical skills(Experience with Alteryx or Python is a plus)
- Understanding of the financial markets, Process and workflow design skills
