As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial and Investment Bank, you will be an experienced member of an agile team, responsible for designing and delivering reliable, market-leading technology products that are secure, stable, and scalable.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone proficient with big data technologies, experienced with cloud platforms, and competent at basic application development. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job Responsibilities
- Work with large datasets using Enterprise Data Science tools and practices
- Write efficient SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other engineering teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data engineering activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and database concepts.
- Proficient in coding in one or more languages: Python, Java
- Experienced in Unit testing, Version Control, SDLC
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Expereince with Infrastructure as Code (IaaC), Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible
- Experience coding in Spark
- Cloud experience: AWS
- Exposure to Databricks
- Experience in Agile frameworks
