As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) Line of Business, you will play a vital role in an agile team dedicated to enhancing, building, and delivering trusted technology products. This position offers a unique opportunity to push the limits of what's possible in a secure, stable, and scalable environment. You will be a core technical contributor, responsible for developing critical technology solutions across various technical areas, aligning with the firm’s business objectives.
In this role, you will specifically focus on building self-directed investment products that empower customers to manage their investments effectively. Job responsibilities
- Design and develop secure, high-quality production code.
- Review and debug code written by others.
- Identify and automate remediation of recurring issues to enhance operational stability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute creative software solutions and troubleshoot complex technical problems.
- Own projects and drive them to closure with accountability.
- Contribute to communities of practice to promote awareness of new technologies.
- Foster a culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect within the team.
- Build self-directed investment products that empower customers to manage their investments effectively.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Hands-on experience in system design, application development, and operational stability.
- Advanced knowledge on Spring boot framework.
- Proficient in Java (including version 17 features like Streams).
- Ability to identify and automate opportunities using relevant tools.
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Advanced knowledge of agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
- Demonstrated proficiency in technical disciplines such as cloud, AI, and machine learning.
- Practical experience with cloud-native applications.
Programming Languages: Java (including Java 17 features)
Frameworks: Spring Boot
Architecture: Microservices, 12 Factor App
DevOps Tools: CI/CD (Jenkins)
Cloud Technologies: AWS (specifically EKS)
Monitoring Tools: Splunk, Dynatrace
Design Patterns: Familiarity with software design patterns
Automation Tools: Experience in identifying and implementing automation solutions
Preferred: Basic knowledge of US Investment marketing is a plus.
